New Sink!

Well, though it took the a little time and the flexibility and patience of very good friends changing dinner plans (plus a little bit of money) but we have a new sink!

Ain't she a beaut'?! Enameled cast-iron. "Smart divide" design. New garbage (now they're called "food waste") disposal...

...and it works, too!

Plus it has a fancy, built-in sprayer head!!! What are we going to do with ourselves now that we have such a nice sink?! Maybe I'll even do the dishes once in a while... naw... prolly not! ;-)

Holidaze!

Beth has already posted about how busy November is for us at work and, with the holiday hoopla in full swing, we three are really looking forward to spending some time away from the hustle and bustle and relaxing with family and friends. For the time being, here are some pictures from Ridley's first ever Thanksgiving:

2009... compared to 2008...

What a difference a year makes!

Our good friends (from L to R) Rose, Richard, and Vicki opened their home and graced us with their combined culinary talents; yum! Later, we laughed our way through some 4-player New Super Mario Bros. on the Wii!

Ridley started out with his own, Gerber® version of Turkey and Sweet Potatoes.

But using a somewhat gross mesh "safe feeder", Ridley gummed and slobbered all over his first Thanksgiving turkey (and Vicki joined in)!

Per tradition, we put up the Christmas tree and decorations the day after. Ridley is super excited about seeing everyone in just over a week! Yikes! We've got some shopping still to do!

Life's Simple Pleasures

Oh, the simplest things can make us happy. For Ridley, that can be just about anything:

The fun of an empty Sonic cup to play with...

...or whack the heck out of.

A first ride on Daddy's shoulders...

Sitting up better and longer with each new day...

Lounging around after a filling meal...

The first bite of a new food...

The second bite of a new food...

Mushing a new food to a pulp and then giving it to your all-too-excited dog to finish it off...
